Until the end of the year, the goal is to choose four emerging companies to partake in the initiative
Eldorado Instituto and Baita Aceleradora have established a partnership for the creation of a new concept of startup acceleration. Besides strengthening the business model, startups will have the support to develop their own technology through the Institute’s lab structure and technical staff, making their solutions more robust and, as a consequence, increase their chances of success in the market.
“We create a space to host startups inside the institute, with a favorable and innovative environment for the development of ideas, providing all the necessary infrastructure and consulting to ensure the transformation of themes into businesses. The agreement with Baita gives us the confidence to attract startups which have a synergy with Eldorado and our partners”, Jaylton Ferreira, the superintendent of the Institute, explains.
According to Rosana Jamal, partner of Baita, the goal is to aid the technological development of solutions unfurled by startups, offering all the tools that those emerging companies need to reach a higher plateau of maturation. “Baita is an accelerator agent already known for helping the development of startups which have complex products, such as hardware and software solutions deployed in the fields of agriculture, aeronautics, health, among others. The agreement with Eldorado will allow us to go beyond the acceleration of businesses and we will act directly on the enhancement of the solutions of our accelerated startups”, the executive reveals.
How will it work?
In the first stage, Eldorado and Baita will work with up to four startups, which will go through an acceleration period from six to nine months. The selection of companies will be led by the accelerator, with the Institute’s participation.
The agreement also foresees the possibility of participation of partner companies, which may finance the acceleration program for startups which have technologies that adhere to their businesses. “In this context, Eldorado and Baita will identify and select startups which happen to be in tune with the demands of their partners which, by the end of the acceleration program, will have access to well-positioned startups from a business point of view and with technological solutions with a high degree of maturity, allowing the company to establish a relationship as a strategic provider, partner or even as an investor”, Jaylton reveals.
Another prominent point of this partnership is that it reaches the Startup-Industry Program of the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development (ABDI), the Start-Up Brazil of the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovations and Communications (MCTIC) and other programs which Baita works with, complementing the portfolio of services provided to accelerated startups.
Eldorado and Baita, a partnership for the technological and business acceleration, a new way to add value to the ecosystem of national entrepreneurship.
