ELDORADO positions itself as a player in the field of Research, Development and Innovation (R, D&I) alongside the Brazilian electric sector. The goal of this action is to address the needs of compliance with Law no. 9.991, of 24/7/2000, according to which 1% of the revenue of concessionaries of generation and transmission and 0.5% of the revenue of distribution concessionaries must be applied in research and development (R&D), with 40% being allocated for projects of the National Agency for Electric Energy (ANEEL), 40% for the National Fund for Scientific and Technological Development (FNDCT) and 20% for the Ministry of Mining and Energy (MME).

With a broad experience in R, D&I projects, it develops projects in tune with the demands established by ANEEL and in accordance with the Standard NBR ABNT 16501:2011 (Research, Development and Innovation for software, hardware, processes and education).
