INMETRO Regulation for LED Lamps
The National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (Inmetro) created the technical quality regulation for LED lamps with integrated control devices to the base, based on ordinances 389/2014 and 143/2015.
It has the objective of establishing the requirements that must be met by the lamps aiming at energy efficiency, safety and electromagnetic compatibility.
The regulation is divided into two groups of tests (Safety and Energy Efficiency), in which ELDORADO is accredited with Cgcre to carry out safety tests, namely:
- Marking;
- Dimensions;
- Base interchangeability;
- Protection against accidental contact with live parts;
- Insulation resistance and dielectric strength after exposure to moisture;
- Torsion resistance;
- Resistance to heating;
- Flame and ignition resistance;
- Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC).
