Certification and Accreditation
The National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (INMETRO) created an ordinance for equipment under the health surveillance regime, with a focus on safety, aiming at preventing accidents.
The electromedical equipment to meet the ordinances are tested according to the general standard ABNT NBR NM 60601-1 or IEC 60601-1, and the particular standards ABNT NBR NM 60601-2-X or IEC 60601-2-X applied by products.
Within this context, the laboratory is accredited to carry out the tests according to the following standards:
