Due to the existing climatic diversity, it is necessary that certain products are evaluated under all possible circumstances of use.
For this, an accelerated test is carried out that simulates the exposure of the product in a coastal atmosphere, in order to check the level of corrosion and eventual damages.
The Salt Spray test has a destructive character, and can be used in the monitoring of a production process and in the development of products, or even in their certifications.
The laboratory’s Salt Spray chamber has the following characteristics:
- Temperature of 35 ° C;
- Dimensions of 45 cm (H) X 45 cm (W) X 45 cm (L);
- With the ability to run trials with unlimited time.
The saline solution can be used as specified by the customer.
The laboratory also has microscopes to analyze corrosion and these can enlarge from 1X to 1000 X.
